Weleda Hypericum/Calendula Ointment is also known as St John's Wort. This ancient remedy was used to ward of evil spirits by the Greeks. Its common name came from the fact that it flowers around 24th June, when St John the Baptist was beheaded and its yellow petals turn red when crushed! Hypericum is often given to treat nerve injuries due to its effective action on the central nervous system. Its varied properties include sedative, anti-inflammatory and antidepressant.

100 g contains: Hypericum perforatum, Herba tincture (1=3) 15 ml/Calendula offlcinalis, Herba tincture (H2) 10 ml. In a base containing Lanolin, Yellow Beeswax, Wool Aclohols, Olive Oil and Sunflower Seed Oil. Nominal ethanol content 6.4% w/w.
